Resource accounts are required in Microsoft Teams to use features such as voice menus (IVRs), queues, and call groups. And of course they need to have a phone number assigned. We’ll show you how to do that in this article.
You can also easily assign a phone number to resource accounts in Teams Connector.
To do this, simply follow the steps below:
- Create a resource account.
If you haven’t already, simply create the resource account in the Teams Admin Center and do the configuration. - Assign license
The resource account must then be assigned a valid license for Microsoft Phone. - Assign phone number
If you now click on “Manage MS Teams users” in the Teams Connector, the resource account will appear in the list and you can assign a phone number.
